New Season, Same Reason

Hey-O! Another season is upon us. I'm super stoked for this year. We're going to have a big pool with big rewards. If anyone can think of any sweet ideas to make it more exciting, please respond to this post so that we can have a somewhat public forum on the matter. Hope that everyone comes back for the action this year!!

Aloha,

Questions, Questions, Questions...

This is up on the block for discussion. Please read and let everyone know where you stand on this one. I vote for not changing anything... just sayin'.

"Bob, i wanted to talk to you about the deadline at 11:59 pm Sat. i know jerry had it this way so that he wouldnt be getting a shit load of calls sunday morning while he was trying to sleep. i think it just makes more sense to have it 11:59 am sunday morning. plus, its through email now. a lot of guys got stuff going on sat nights plus line up changes due injuries and weather conditions change. i think its easier so guys dont get stuck with 5 losses that can ruin your season. this is just a suggestion i know your running things i dont want to step on anybodys toes. i just thought i would throw it out there. are you posting everyones picks before gametime sunday? if so i can see why you are having an early deadline but if your just posting results on tuesday i dont see why it would hurt but thats just me. just let me know what you think. thanks, matt russell"

"would you mind if we put it up for discussion? i was planning on posting everyone's picks by gametime on sundays, and then posting on monday and tuesday also. if you wouldn't mind me copy and pasting some of your email onto the blog and let people speak their mind, i don't see why we wouldn't do what the majority wants. i can see where you're coming from for sure. i've missed my fair share of weeks. my personal opinion is that we should pick the teams that we feel are going to win based on friday's spread. if we push back the deadline, should we also push back the line we use? these are just some thoughts. i'm up for anything, i just want to make sure that it goes well and we all have a good time with it. should we change tradition? i've made picks from maui (for almost an entire season, with the time change and no free press) and from nashville for a season. i'll be running this thing from europe for a couple of weeks this season. i'll email my picks in, as huge of a pain in the ass as it is. i'll even do my best to make sure that everyone is up to date while i'm gone. again, i've missed plenty of weeks in my tenure. i'm not trashing the idea, and i'm sure there are a lot of guys who would feel the same way you do. i'll post the idea, and we'll have it out the old fashioned way? thanks for the input. much appreciated. aloha "

That's the story! How do you feel...?

No Line = No Bets

That's the way it's gonna be. It kinda has to, doesn't it? Let me know if you have a different opinion...

latest roster...

we're getting close!! there's a pretty significant amount of peeps now. the payoff is starting to look really good! man, g-men looked good in first half tonight, huh?

peace,

commish

G-men by 4?

The first line of the year... man does this feel good. I'll still take entries until the money's due. We have around 15 right now, which doesn't make for great payoffs. Have all that want to play send me an e-mail address with a first and last name and i'll get them on the roster. Remember, pay by week 3 kick-off or it's the boot.

Aloha!

Temporary Solutions...

It's easier to do some of the updating and news things here. Expect it. First thing's first, Jerry and I found out that the program that scores the league has to be checked when there's a push. Not a big deal, just keep an eye out if it's your game and let me know. I also figured this would be a way we could leave comments and kinda keep a running conversation going about the league. Maybe it'll help you feel more involved, Will. Whatever the case, this is more entertaining for me than watching TV. Season starts tomorrow... I'm so excited.
